Zwiebelkuchen (onion cake)

| eggs | 2 slice | |
| milk | 250 ml | |
| yeast (fresh) | 1 cube | |
| flour | 500 gram |
Preparation
- Mix the flour, yeast, sugar, milk, salt, 60g of butter, and one egg to make the dough. Leave the dough to rest.
- Meanwhile, peel the onions and cut into thin slices, then fry in butter. Leave to cool.
- Roll out the dough on a buttered tin, spread the cooled onions, and season with pepper and caraway.
- Cut the bacon in small dices and spread over the onions. Grate the cheese and cover the bacon with it.
- Mix one egg with the cream and pour over the bacon.
- Leave again to shortly rest in the 50C warm oven, then bake off for 25 to 30 minutes at 200C until brown.
