elderflower punch

Ingredients

elderflowers 10
sugar 300 gram
water 1 liter
lemons 3
mint 1 bunch
champagne (brut) 1 bottle
wine (dry white) 1 bottle

Preparation

  1. Wash the elderflowers, shake them dry, and place them in a big bowl.
  2. Cut one lemon into slices, and squeeze the juice of the remaining two. Add the water, sugar, lemon slices, lemon juice, and min to the elderflowers.
  3. Leave to cool in the fridge for 24 hours, stirring from time to time. Cool the white wine and champagne (or sparkling wine) in the fridge as well.
  4. Sift the liquid, then top with the white wine and champagne (or sparkling wine).
  5. Serving suggestionServe garnished with fresh lemon slices, some fresh elderflowers, and mint leaves.
