baked figs and apricots
Ingredients
| apricots | 75 gram | |
| lime | 1 | |
| figs | 4 | |
| honey | 2 tablespoon | |
| cardamom | 1 pinch | |
| honey cakes | 2 slice |
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 180C.
- Wash and halve the lime. Press the juice of one halve, and rasp some peel from the second. Wash the dried apricots, and leave them to soak in water, together with the lime peel and lime juice.
- Wash the figs and cut a cross into the upper part. Place the figs onto two oven-proof plates, and press the cut edges a bit apart. Mix the honey with the cardamom, and sprinkle the figs with this mix.
- Bake the figs for about 10 minutes in the oven, then add the soaked apricots and bake for another 5 minutes.
- Roast or toast the honey cake (or gingerbread) and cut the slices into thin strips.
