steak in a bacon jacket


Ingredients

beef 2 fillet
bacon 2 rasher
salt 1 pinch
pepper 1 pinch
butter (for baking) 1 tablespoon

Preparation

  1. Wrap the 2 steaks into the 2 rashers of bacon each, and fasten the bacon with a kitchen string.
  2. Heat the butter in a pan, and when the butter is very hot, fry the steak on one side. Turn the steak, season with salt and pepper, then fry on the other (second) side for another 4 minutes.
  3. Reduce the heat to half, turn the meat again, and fry for another 3 minutes.
  4. Serving suggestionServe immediately, with a thin slice of herb butter, if you prefer.
    Tip!Serve with vegetables, potatoes, and/or a salad
    Tip!The steak can be prepared on a bbq as well, but it will take a bit longer than in a pan.
