marinated spareribs
Ingredients
| spare ribs | 1500 gram | |
| ginger | 1 tablespoon | (rasped) |
| garlic | 3 clove | (chopped) |
| ketjap manis | 2 tablespoon | |
| honey | 2 tablespoon | |
| beer (pils) | 1 bottle | |
| oil | 4 tablespoon | |
| beef stock | 200 ml |
Preparation
- Cut the spare ribs into pieces of 6 ribs each.
- Mix all ingredients for the marinade, and warm them up in a pan. Marinade the ribs for at least 8 hours.
- Preheat the oven to 180C.
- Remove the ribs from the marinade.
- Pour the marinade into a pan and bring it to boil. Reduce the heat and leave the marinade to simmer until reduced to approx. half the volume.
- Heat some oil in a pan and fry the ribs on each side until brown. Place the ribs in a deep pan, cover them in some of the reduced marinade, and bake them off in the oven for approx. 50 minutes (in the lower part of the oven).
- Add ladles of marinade from time to time.
