Fried plantain

Ingredients

plantain (ripe) 1
oil 20 ml

Preparation

  1. Peel the plantain (Note: Plantains are ripe when they turn completely brown / black)
  2. Cut the plantain lengthwise, and place in a hot frying pan, on the flat side
  3. Fry the plantain in oil on a low fire for 15 minutes. Make sure to turn the plantain and fry the top of the plantainfor a few minutes too.
  4. Serving suggestionServe with your favorite rice dish, such as a nice stew.
