Sausage stew in tomato sauce

Ingredients

pork sausage 6
bell pepper (red) 1 (sliced)
onions (big) 2 (sliced)
Italian herbs 1 pinch
olive oil 1 tablespoon
tomato puree 500 ml
garlic 1 clove

Preparation

  1. Fry the sausages in the olive oil, until almost done
  2. On a low fire, add sliced onions, garlic and italian species and fry untill the onions start to turn brown.
  3. Add tomato sauce, bell pepper and italian spices, and let simmer for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Serving suggestionServe with potatoes, prepared according to desire (I prefer fried potatoes with this dish, but it works realy well with mashed potatoes too!), and a side of steamed vegetables (e.g. carrots).
