Romanian bean pot
Ingredients

| thyme | 1 tablespoon | (dried) |
| bacon (streaky) | 100 gram | |
| garlic | 1 clove | |
| onion | 1 | |
| beans (white) | 100 gram |
Preparation
- Soak the beans for 24 hours. Crush the garlic clove with salt. Cut the bacon into cubes. Heat the bacon in a pan for about 5 minutes, add onion cubes and garlic. Then add the beans with the water they soaked in. Season with salt and thyme.
- Let simmer for 90 minutes. Add the green beans 20 minutes before the end of the cooking time. Season with lemon juice to taste. After 1 hour of cooking add the laurel.
