souvlaki


Ingredients

olive oil 3 tablespoon
lemon juice 2 tablespoon
thyme 1 tablespoon (finely chopped)
oregano 1 tablespoon (finely ground)
garlic 2 clove (crushed)
salt 1 pinch
pepper 1 pinch
lamb cutlets 600 gram (cubed)
lemons 2 (in parts)

Preparation

  1. Water wooden skewers to avoid burning during the bbq.
  2. Mix the olive oil, lemon juice, thyme, oregano, garlic, salt and pepper with the meat cubes (pieces of approx. 3 cm). Marinate the meat for at least 2 hrs in the fridge.
  3. Skewer the meat cubes and lemon parts, alternating between them. BBQ the skewers for approx. 10 minutes (BBQ, or oven grill), while turning regularly. If necessary, cover them with some of the marinade, when turning.
  4. Serving suggestionServe with a tzatziki dip.

    Tip!You can replace the lamb meat with bef (ribeye or entrecote)
