roasted tomatoes with sweet onions

Ingredients

sweet onion (big) 1 (sliced)
beef tomatoes 4 (halved)
garlic 2 clove (sliced)
olive oil 1 dash
honey 1 tablespoon
aceto balsamico 1 dash
thyme leaves (fresh) 1 handful
salt 1 pinch
pepper 1 pinch

Preparation

  1. Peel the onion, then cut it into 8 slices. Cut the beef tomatoes into halves. Cut each garlic cloves into 4 slices (one slice for each onion slice and tomato half). Oneach tomato half, place one slice of garlic.
  2. Mix the olive oil, honey, aceto balsamico, thyme leaves, salt and pepper to a marinade (season to taste).
  3. Sprinkle the tomatoes and onions with the marinade, then BBQ until soft.
  4. Serving suggestionServe as a 'stack' (tomato half, garlic slice, onion slice) as a side dish with meat.
