Apple and rhubarb turnover (appel en rabarber flappen)


Ingredients

apple 1 Piece (finely chopped)
rhubarb 2 stick (chopped)
puff pastries 6 Piece
sugar 3 tablespoon
cinnamon 1 teaspoon
egg 1 Piece

Preparation

  1. pre-heat the over at 200 degrees celcius 
  2. lay out the puff pastry on a buttered baking tray (Or use baking paper) and mosten te outer cm of the pastry dough with some egg. (This will improve the seal later on)
  3. Mix the apple, rhubarb, cinamon and 1 tablespoon of suger
  4. Distribute the mixture evenly over the 6 pieces of puff pastry
  5. Fold the puff patry over one of the diagonals, and seal the end so that a triangular packet is formed
  6. Mosten each packet with egg, and sprinkle suger over de packet so that the complete triangle is covered
  7. Place the baking tray in the middle of the over and bake untill the turnovers have a deep golden-brown color. Typically this takes 20 minutes
  8. Serving suggestionServe while hot and with some vanilla ice-cream
