stir-fried prawns

Ingredients

peanut oil 3 tablespoon
king prawns 800 gram
ginger (3 cm) 1
garlic 2 clove
bell peppers (red) 2
courgettes (green squash) 2
Japanese rice wine / sake 4 tablespoon
sesame oil 1 teaspoon
soy sauce 2 tablespoon
lime 1

Preparation

  1. Finely chop the ginger and garlic, remove the seeds from the red peppers and cut into thin slices. Cut the courgette into thin slices as well.
  2. Heat the peanut oil in the wok and fry the king prawns for 2 minutes.
  3. Add the ginger, garlic, red pepper, and courgette and fry for 1 minute.
  4. Add the rice wine (saki) and leave to simmer for 1 minute. Then add the sesame oil and soy sauce, and leave to simmer for another minute.
  5. Serving suggestionDecorate with lime slices. Serve immediately as a starter, or with rice as a main dish.
