banana with chocolate and basil

Ingredients

bananas 3
basil 10 gram
dark chocolate (75% cocoa) 100 gram
chocolate mousse 500 gram

Preparation

  1. Peel the bananas, then slice each banana into four long slices. Chop the basil leaves into very fine pieces.
  2. Melt the chocolat au bain marie (or very slowly in a pan on very low heat).
  3. Dip the banana slices into the chocolate, as to cover each slice half in chocolate. Place them on a plate, sprinkle the soft chocolate with the basil, then leave to dry.
  4. Distribute the chocolate mousse on four broad glasses, and decorate it with the banana slices.
  5. Serving suggestionThe basil can be replaced with grated lime or orange peel, chopped hazelnuts, or roasted coconut flakes.
